MA Course In Curating Contemporary Design

The Design Museum and Kingston University offer a post-graduate course - MA Curating Contemporary Design - to prepare students for careers in the museums sector and creative industries. The course enables students to explore the special nature of contemporary design curation as well as the interpretative, educational, marketing and financial aspects of the discipline.

Taught at the Design Museum and Kingston University, this MA course accommodates both full-time and part-time students. Led by the Design Museum’s exhibitions team and Kingston University’s design historians, it includes lectures and tutorials by leading designers, architects and curators. Graduates from this course have gone on to work for prestigious organisations such as the Victoria & Albert Museum and the British Council’s Architecture and Design Department.

Prospective students should hold a good BA (Hons) degree in a relevant subject or have equivalent experience. Research proposals at MPhil and PHD level are welcome.
