TERMS AND CONDITIONS

FOR THE DOWNLOAD AND REPRODUCTION OF DESIGN MUSEUM MEDIA IMAGES

As the recipient you agree to indemnify the Design Museum (‘The Museum’) with respect to any claims or damages or any loss or costs arising in any manner from the reproduction, without consent, of any pictures supplied to you by the Museum

The Museum shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by the recipient or by any third party arising from the use or reproduction of any material

In the case of printed publications a copy of the relevant pages containing any material supplied are to be sent free of charge within two weeks of publication to Press Office, Design Museum, 28 Shad Thames, London SE1 2YD

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, if any material reproduced by the media omits the copyright/accreditation notice (see below) relating to the material and expressly specified by the Museum, a reproduction fee shall be administered equivalent to £150 per image, payable by the original recipient.

Copyright of Images

All copyright in any material and/or images remains with the designer/ photographer/ the Museum and all reproduction of the images/material is prohibited without the express written permission of the Museum.

Copyright Accreditation Notice

The name of the exhibition and the Design Museum must be credited at the beginning of any editorial.

Full details of the exhibition and the Design Museum must be summarised at the end of any editorial including:
Name/Title and dates of exhibition; Design Museum, Shad Thames, London SE1 2YD, 10.00-17.45 daily, T: 0870 833 9955, www.designmuseum.org

Credit by-lines for each photographer/ designer with copyright symbol – as detailed alongside the image on the image download page – must run adjacent to any images. Breach of this clause will render the permission to reproduce void and any further reproduction will be deemed a breach of copyright.

Use of Images

A maximum of 4 free press images may be used per piece of coverage. If more images are required these must be agreed in writing from the Design Museum Press Office via media@designmuseum.org.

Material shall not be copied or loaned, and no use whatsoever shall be made of it by the recipient without the consent of the Design Museum.

Save for the purpose of implementing the terms of this License, photographs may not be stored in any electronic medium without the written permission of the Museum.

Material shall not be altered, added to, have any part deleted or otherwise manipulated without the written consent of the Design Museum for to do so will constitute a breach of copyright and any permission to reproduce granted by the Museum will be deemed to have terminated with immediate effect.
